The weekend trip to Paris took a toll on us, reaching at 9am in the morning (with a 5am Eurostar) and not being able to check in to our Airbnb till after dinner that night, we were so tired out. But that didn't end there because we still had two full packed days of books galore! We were so exhausted but it was alll worth it.
When we reached, we visited a quaint bookshop/ sales gallery, Ofr. Lovely little shop packed with lots of books and a mini gallery behind it selling prints. A couple of blocks down, there was a fire being put out by several firemen! A real experience right out of a movie.
After this, we headed for a little breakfast and dived right into PARIS PHOTO. It was huge, overwhelming, eye opening, exciting. Managed to see A LOT of artwork, some good, some not so good. There was a photobook section as well where many distributors, publishers, bookshops came and sold their books, of which we bought and it emptied out pockets. Also, we met KEANU REEVES? What in the world. He made a photobook called Shadows, published by Steidl.
After this long long day, we headed to our Airbnb for checkin, had some real good mussels at a great deal for dinner and that concluded our first day at Paris. More soon!
